China is home to the Miao people that have inhabited this village for centuries.This image of the unique wooden architecture built into the rugged mountainous terrain typifies the scale and beauty of this wonderful place. My accommodations were in the homes of these wonderful people and despite the substantial language barrier I was welcomed and felt at home. Aside from the beauty of the village there was the opportunity to take long hikes into the surrounding mountains to explore the neighboring villages.
